It gets no wind because the hill and point Y are blocking its flow and it’s the driest because it’s the farthest from the sea.

Because it’s colder further up from the hill and on the opposite side of point Z is water so it wouldn’t be dry and on Z there is no water and the hill is blocking some wind as well (hoped this helped :)
