Answer:

x = 23.33 hr    Rodriguez sprinkler

y  = 26.66 hr   Hill sprinkler

Step-by-step explanation: INCOMPLETE QUESTION

Requiered information:

the water output rate for both sprinkler families

We assume : Rodriguez family   40 lts/hr

                      Hill family   35 lts/ hr

Total water output  1900 lts

and total combined hours working is 50 hr

Let call  "x"  time in hours sprinkler of Rodriguez family worked

and "y" time in hours sprinkler of  Hill  family worked

Then if total output was 1900 lts

40*x  +  35*y  = 1900    and   x  +  y  =  50

We have a two equation system, solving

y  =  50 - x     ⇒     40*x  +  35 * ( 50 - x )

40x  =  1750 -  35x

75 x  =  1750        ⇒    x  = 1750/75          ⇒    x = 23.33 hr

and   y  =  50  -  23.33     ⇒   y  =  26.66 hr

The fourth graders are helping raise money for the local animal shelter they hoped to raise 1,000. so far they have made 465 in
vredina [299]

The fourth graders raised 175 more than 1,000 for the local animal shelter.

First, let us identify the given.

  • Target value to raise= 1,000
  • Profit from bake sale= 465
  • Profit from t-shirt sales= 710

How much money did the fourth graders raise? The sum of the profit from the bake sale and t-shirt sales determines the total money raised.

Total money= Profit from bake sale + Profit from t-shirt sales

Total money= 465 + 710

Total money= 1175

How much more than 1,000 have the fourth graders raised? This amount is equivalent to the difference between the total money raised and the target amount, 1,000.

Total money-target amount

1175-1000= 175

HELP ME HELP ME please !!! 10 points
USPshnik [31]

Answer:

The slope is \frac{3}{2}

The y-intercept is 9

Step-by-step explanation:

The form of the equation that passes through two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is y = m x + b, where

  • m is the slope of the line whose rule is m=\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}
  • b is the y-intercept, you can find it by substituting x, y in the equation by (x1, y1) OR (x2, y2)

Let us solve the question:

Choose any two-point from the table

∵ The line passes through the points (2, 12) and (4, 15)

∴ x1 = 2 and x2 = 4

∴ y1 = 12 and y2 = 15

→ Use the rule of m to find it

∵ m=\frac{15-12}{4-2}=\frac{3}{2}

∴ m = \frac{3}{2}

∴ The slope is \frac{3}{2}

→ Substitute its value in the form of the equation above

∴ y = \frac{3}{2} x + b

→ To find b substitute x and y by x1 and y1

∴ 12 = \frac{3}{2} (2) + b

∴ 12 = 3 + b

→ Subtract 3 from both sides

∴ 12 -3 = 3 - 3 + b

∴ 9 = b

∴ The y-intercept is 9
