Answer:

History (historical record)

Explanation:

The impact of the American Civil War was such that to this day many of the major issues under debate in the country derive from facts or characters linked to such an event. It was the first time the US had faced the pain and horror of a head-on war through photographs.

Mathew Brady (1822-1896) considered by many to be the father of photojournalism), spent a small fortune on his efforts to photograph the Civil War, and though his life was deeply indebted, upon his death in 1895, his legacy is of fundamental importance for war photography, journalism as a whole, and the history of photography itself.

His photos show battlefield life throughout the war - lasting from 1861 to 1865 - combat characters, as well as some places of conflict. The technical limitations of the time prevented the photographs from recording moving scenes, but it is possible to have an impressive sense of the conditions under which the war took place.

In addition to the conflict, Brady also photographed several prominent characters in American history, such as poet Walt Whitman, abolitionist writer and great black leader Frederick Douglass, American President Abraham Lincoln himself. Photography was still such an incipient and difficult experience that most of these portraits became official photographs of such personalities.

How did Escher make his works of art more dramatic , answer quickly
enot [183]
Escher used black and white. High contrast, which dramatized his art and also brought more attention to what he was drawing, not just the colours.

His “impossible constructions” were shocking. He played with perspective and juxtaposition in a way that couldn’t possibly be true in real life. The audience has to do a double take. Angles and shapes were twisted in impossible ways.
