Answer:

(1) \frac{1}{9}

(2) \frac{8}{75}

(3) \frac{5}{12}

(4) \frac{3}{10}

Step-by-step explanation:

(1). A bag has 5 red marbles, 6 blue marbles and 4 black marbles.

Total marbles in a bag = 5 + 6 + 4 = 15 marbles

The probability of picking a red marble P_{1} = \frac{5}{15} = \frac{1}{3}

By replacing it and then picking another red marble  P_{2}= \frac{5}{15} = \frac{1}{3}

P = \frac{1}{3} × \frac{1}{3} = \frac{1}{9}

(2). A bag has 5 red marbles, 6 blue marbles and 4 black marbles.

Total marbles in a bag = 5 + 6 + 4 = 15 marbles.

The probability of picking a blue marble =  P_{1} = \frac{6}{15} =  \frac{2}{5}

replacing it and then picking a black marble =  P_{2} =  \frac{4}{15}

P =  \frac{2}{5} ×  \frac{4}{15} =  \frac{8}{75}

(3). A bag contains 4 white, 3 black and 5 red marbles.

Total marbles = 4 + 3 + 5 = 12 marbles

The probability of picking a red marble =  \frac{5}{12}

(4). A bag contains 3 white marbles, 2 black marbles and 5 red marbles.

Total marbles = 3 + 2 + 5 = 10 marbles.

The probability of picking a white marble =  \frac{3}{10}

(1) \frac{1}{9}

(2) \frac{8}{75}

(3) \frac{5}{12}

(4) \frac{3}{10}

So the questions has one in common, Find the probabilities of the following given marbles. So base on my calculation, I came up with the following answers:
#1. Red = 1/9
#2. Black = 16/225
#3. Red once = 5/12
#4. White once = 3/10
I hope you are satisfied with my answers and feel free to ask for more if you have more questions and clarifications. Have a nice day

cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

A. Probability = 0.02

B. This is in a cumulative frequency table in the attachment I added

Step-by-step explanation:

A. We have these following probabilities

Prob(X=0) = 0.05

Prob(x= 2) = 0.30

Prob(X = 4) = 0.50

Prob(X < 2) = Prob(X=0) + prob(X=1)

0.18 = 0.05 + prob(X=1)

prob(X=1) = 0.13

A. Prob(x = 3)

= 1 - (0.05 + 0.13 + 0.30 + 0.50)

= 0.02

Probability of buying only 3 times = 2%

B. The cumulative frequency is in the attachment.

Westkost [7]

Answer:

Given:

(i) Wendy reduced her daily commute time by 75% by learning how to fly.

(ii) Previously, it took her 'm' minutes to commute.

To find:

(i) Wendy's commute time in minutes after she learned how to fly.

Solution:

Given that earlier it took Wendy 'm' minutes to commute.

After learning how to to fly, the commute time reduced by 75%.

So, time taken now = (100-75)% of previous time

= 25% of 'm' minutes

= \frac{25m}{100}

100

25m

= \frac{m}{4}

4

m

So, the time taken by Wendy now is \frac{m}{4}

4

Find the standard equation of the circle with center (5, -3
Mrac [35]

Answer:

○ C

Explanation:

Accourding to one of the circle equations, \displaystyle (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2,the centre of the circle is represented by \displaystyle (h, k).Moreover, all negative symbols give you the OPPOCITE TERMS OF WHAT THEY <em>REALLY</em> ARE, so you must pay cloce attention to which term gets which symbol. Another thing you need to know is that the radius will ALWAYS be squared, so no matter how your equation comes about, make sure that the radius is squared. Now, in case you did not know how to define the radius, you can choose between either method:

Pythagorean Theorem

\displaystyle a^2 + b^2 = c^2 \\ \\ 6^2 + 8^2 = r^2 \hookrightarrow 36 + 64 = r^2 \hookrightarrow \sqrt{100} = \sqrt{r^2} \\ \\ \boxed{10 = r}

Sinse we are dealing with <em>length</em>, we only desire the NON-NEGATIVE root.

Distanse Equation

\displaystyle \sqrt{[-x_1 + x_2]^2 + [-y_1 + y_2]^2} = d \\ \\ \sqrt{[-5 - 3]^2 + [3 + 3]^2} = r \hookrightarrow \sqrt{[-8]^2 + 6^2} = r \hookrightarrow \sqrt{64 + 36} = r; \sqrt{100} = r \\ \\ \boxed{10 = r}

Sinse we are dealing with <em>distanse</em>, we only desire the NON-NEGATIVE root.

I am joyous to assist you at any time.

Answer:

x in (-oo:+oo)

y = (-2/3)*x+1 // - (-2/3)*x+1

y-((-2/3)*x)-1 = 0

(2/3)*x+y-1 = 0

2/3*x+y-1 = 0 // - y-1

2/3*x = -(y-1) // : 2/3

x = (-(y-1))/2/3

x = 3/2*(1-y)

x = 3/2*(1-y)

(hope that helps you out :)
