Answer: the historical context

Explanation: This may bias a viewer in 1770 due to the historical context at the time. Colonists refused to pay taxes and all of a sudden British soldiers show up in Boston. From their perspective, they think the soldiers are there to force colonists to pay taxes, which made a lot of them uneasy at the time. So when you read a news article about 5 colonists being shot dead at the hands of British Soldiers... that doesn’t paint them in a good light now does it?

Lisa [10]

Largest group of non-willing people brought to America were taken from Africa and brought to America as slaves by British people who used to rule on America at that time.

The Atlantic slave trade or trans atlantic slave trade comprised of the transportation by slave traders of enslaved African people, especially to America. The slave trade mainly used The Triangular Trade Route and its middle passage, and continued from 16th to 19th centuries.

Many African rulers wanted to supply European traders with the extra enslaved people they wanted for liquor, tobacco, salt, potato, rice, wheat etc.As demand grew, some African traders began to capture other Africans and sell them to Europeans.

Usually British and French ships took 2 to 3 months to go from Africa to America.Ships transported on an average of 250 to 600 slaves on the ships. Many slaves used to die during the journey from hunger, disease etc.

Why were people in China drawn to communism?
Pavel [41]

Answer:

During the Qing dynasty period and in at beginning of the 20th century, a handful of land owners and nobles held almost 80% of China's lands and the wealth was concentrated only on the wealthy higher class.

The working class people who were mostly peasants were left with nothing. They were unable to even satisfy their basic needs! Famine, starvation, and diseases spread every where and the rulers were unable to protect China and her interests from aggressive foreign colonial powers like Europeans, Americans and Japanese.

It is because of this immense economic and social pressure that communism became popular among the ordinary people in China.
