Explanation: This theory is linked to the concept of homeostasis, which is the state in which our body strives for balance at all times , for example if you feel hot your body will work towards maintaining balance by indicating that you are thirsty which gives you a drive for you to go drink water

A biological need is what drives us to search for the state of equilibrium, when you re cold the body tells you to keep warm

So a person feels the drive to have more money or to have an increased salary and to reduce this drive they take a job with an increased salary , this drive will then be reduced. The state of balance is then maintain this way because the person will now start to feel a bit satisfied because their drive have been fulfilled.
