The 16th Amendment matter as it helps the U.S government to raise finances for the social, economic and political welfare of America unitedly.

Explanation:

  1. According to the Amendment, Congress can levy income tax on all sources of income. There is also no need for the Congress to distribute it among the different states or base the tax on the demographic trend.
  2. This helped the government to get permanent funds without much ado. This led to ensure that America becomes of the strongest nation financially.
  3. This also helped with the removal of direct tax which had to be distributed among the various states.
  4. Although a permanent tax was levied, the American citizens did not feel burdened as the tax tariff matched to make the high cost of living bearable.
  5. The Federal Government had a steady revenue generation while the citizens lived comfortably.

Why do you think gladiatorial contests and public games were so popular among ancient Romans?
tatuchka [14]

Personally, I think it's because it was simple and free entertainment. Given that there wasn't a taboo around death and watching others die, and it actually being encouraged, like how it was in Anciient Rome, I'd say a lot of people would actually at least try out visiting a gladiatorial contest.

Describe the delegates to the Constitutional Convention and the core ideas they
Phantasy [73]

Each delegate from every state had attended the constitutional convention which was held in Philadelphia. The main goal or the agenda was to alter the articles of confederation which tended to be weak and it contained many flaws.

Explanation:

Huge debates and deliberations took place in the constitutional convention regarding the continuity or the abolition of the slave trade, representation in the legislature. Delegates appeared to be favoring and also arguing against these issues. larger states demanded for equal congressional representation whereas the small sates demanded proportional representation in the lower house. The Great compromise was signed by the delegates which clearly analysed the power and the representation of the states too.

The major issue which all delegates agreed upon without any difference of opinion is regarding the state and the central powers. Articles of confederation which was initially created appeared to be filled with many severe flaws such as States were given enormous powers to sign treaties and foreign policies with other countries, Central government was not given the power to rise army or collect taxes and the third major flaw is the absence of the supreme court.
