Martin Luther King was a black man who fought for racial equality.He also wrote and prsented the famous "I Have a Dream" speech at the White House. He and thousands of other black individuals fought for there rights. He believed violence was not the answer, so he protested in speech instead.
The 1920s were a unique time in the United States in the sense that it was a time of great economic prosperity and also great social woe. What led to this tension was a mix of rising immigration levels and and irresponsible attitude towards money and spending.
