Confidentiality

It refers to the obligation of the healthcare provider to maintain patient info in a manner that will not permit dissemination beyond the healthcare provider. It has served to protect patient-specific health info from disclosure. It focuses between the relationship of healthcare provider & the patient. Thru this relationship, the atient provides to the healthcare provider info that will assist him/her in diagnosing & treating the patient's symptoms.
