Explanation:

The speed of water in a stream is affected by the gradient of the geography. The steeper the geography the higher the speed of the water flow and the higher the erosion capacity of the stream. This means the stream will be narrow and deep. There is also less meandering of the stream.

When the gradient is less steep, the stream flow slows down and so does the erosion force it bears especially on the river bed. This therefore result in a higher horizontal erosion than vertical erosion. The steam becomes wide and shallow. The stream is also more likely to meander.

The volume of water in the stream also affects the size, shape, and flow of streams and rivers. A higher volume of water has more erosion power due to the weight of the water column. The stream is, therefore, more likely to be bigger in size than a stream that carries low water volume.

Tanya [424]

Answer:

c they do not have a backbone

Explanation:

Invertebrates are animals that neither possess nor develop a vertebral column (commonly known as a backbone or spine), derived from the notochord. This includes all animals apart from the subphylum Vertebrata. Familiar examples of invertebrates include arthropods (insects, arachnids, crustaceans, and myriapods), mollusks (chitons, snail, bivalves, squids, and octopuses), annelid (earthworms and leeches), and cnidarians (hydras, jellyfishes, sea anemones, and corals).

hram777 [196]

Answer:

Self fertilization is pretty self explanatory. If you're talking about plants then it is the ability to fertilize/reproduce on its own. But for cross fertilization (for a plant), requires a support from another plant (cross pollination), in order to be fertile/reproduce

zzz [600]

Answer:

The correct option is B) Both would be represented as completely shaded squares.

Explanation:

A pedigree can be described as a chart or a diagram which reflects the occurrence of a particular phenotype from one generation to another in a family. It determines the family history for a trait.

In a pedigree, males are usually drawn as squares. A male who is carrying a disorder or a particular phenotype under study is represented by shading the square. A male who is a carrier for the trait under study is represented by lines on the square. Hence, option B is correct.
