Answer:

D. 3x^4 - 10x^2 + 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's work our way from the front of the equation to the back.

x^2 x 3x^2

to make this easier we are gonna separate the exponent and deal with that after.

x x 3x

Well that is basically 1 x 3 so that is 3. So we can easily cross out A.

Now we can deal with the exponents. When the equations are multiplying, we are gonna add the exponents.

2 + 2 = 4.

Okay, now let's deal with -5x and 2x

-5x x 2x

Easy, just multiply the numbers while adding the exponents like we did before.

-10x^2

And if you look at the 3 remaining answers

Only D. starts off with 3x^4 -10x^2

So eliminating the rest, now you are left it D as the answer

Pani-rosa [81]

Well, to find your solution to this problem, I would subtract 84 from 32 = 52. I would divide the number by 2, which equals 26. So, side lengths are 32, 26, and 26.

Or, another one is that 2 sides have the length of 32, so 32+32=64. I would subtract 84 from 64 and get 20. So, side lengths are 32, 32, and 20.

Answer:

y=4

Step-by-step explanation:

You can ignore the 3 and 6 because this has no y value change(rise over run)

This is a straight horizontal line so the equation is y=4.

Do the following points represent a function? (0,2) (1,4) (0,4) (3,9) (5,8)
photoshop1234 [79]
<h3>Answer: No, this isn't a function.</h3>

Why not? Focus on the two points (0,2) and (0,4)

We have the x value x = 0 show up twice. Any time x repeats itself like this, it leads to "not a function" as the result.

In other words, the input x = 0 leads to multiple outputs y = 2 and y = 4 at the same time. A function is only possible if every x input leads to exactly one y output.

If you are a visual learner, then plot all of the points on the same xy grid. Then notice how (0,2) and (0,4) fail the vertical line test to show we don't have a function.

Side note: The y values can repeat themselves in a function.
