Famine is a shortage or lack of food. Malnutrition is the lack of nutrition which is caused by not having enough to eat. Its effects is weight loss, slow growth, and loss of muscle mass, fat, and body tissue. This gives a higher chance to get sick and takes longer to heal.

)Marcus loves baseball and wants to create a home plate for his house. Marcus needs to calculate the area of the home plate at t
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer: 83 inch²

Explanation:

First find the area of the rectangle:

= Length * Width

= 8 * 5

= 40 inch²

Then find the area of the first traingle:

= 1/2 * base * height

= 1/2 * ( 4 + 4) * 7

= 28 inch²

Then the second triangle:

= 1/2 * base * height

= 1/2 * (2.5 + 2.5) * 6

= 15 inch²

The area of the polygon is the sum of all these:

= 40 + 28 + 15

= 83 inch²
