How were African Americans discriminated in the North?
oksano4ka [1.4K]
Well for starters even though Africans were slaves back than, mostly in the south, they were later on freed in many lands since Lincoln became president, but even though Africans were freed, a declaration or so called law was made of where they all had to go back to their masters to help with the cotton, and so some hid in places, and the ones hidden were found later on, but Africans were discriminated because they were black and not white, so this made people feel superior to blacks (racism), and blacks were discriminated also because since they use to be slaves, people still treated them like ones since they couldn't get as much money as them or they didn't look like them, so black people again were discriminated because of their skin and nationality.

zhuklara [117]
Aug 28 (Reuters) - It would be easy to assume that the stirring words of Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have a Dream” speech affected Americans most of all. His goading of a nation to live up to the democratic principles of its founders was a sharp display of America's private grief.
