Why do you think each level of government controls different laws?<br>(4-6 sentences)
PIT_PIT [208]
I think each level of government controls different laws so everything becomes more equal and more people get a say. By using separation of powers, it is more of a democracy which is what the us government is all about. There are many different people focused on certain topics or ideas within the levels of government and this helps everything stay organized and everyone then knows what they are doing.

What were some of the reasons for the largely failed presidency of Jimmy Carter?
Goryan [66]

Answer:

Carter sought reforms to the country's welfare, health care, and tax systems, but was largely unsuccessful, partly due to poor relations with Congress. Taking office in the midst of the Cold War, Carter reoriented U.S. foreign policy towards an emphasis on human rights.

How did the end of WWI affect the U.S. economy? 4-5 sentence please thank you
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

The experience of the First World War was traumatizing. The so-called “civilized” Western democracies had plunged into a ferocious and deadly conflict with uncertain origins and an unsatisfying outcome. As a result, many became disillusioned with the values and ideals of American political democracy and consumer culture. The generation that came of age during the First World War and the “Roaring 1920s” is known as the “Lost Generation.”

On the political front, a debate erupted between President Wilson and his supporters, who sought an expanded role for the United States in world affairs, and isolationists in Congress, who feared becoming embroiled in future European conflicts. Though Wilson was the foremost advocate of the League of Nations, an international peacekeeping organization, the United States never officially joined the League due to isolationist opposition.
