PLEASE HELP - what are some of the racist policies of the past that civil rights leaders worked to overcome?
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:As segregation tightened and racial oppression escalated across the United States, some leaders of the African American community, often called the talented tenth, began to reject Booker T. Washington’s conciliatory approach. W. E. B. Du Bois and other black leaders channeled their activism by founding the Niagara Movement in 1905. Later, they joined white reformers in 1909 to form the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Early in its fight for equality, the NAACP used the federal courts to challenge disenfranchisement and residential segregation. Job opportunities were the primary focus of the National Urban League, which was established in 1910.

What group concerned the Tokugawa shoguns enough to limit the contacts between Japan and Europe?
Alik [6]

"Christian missionaries" group concerned the Tokugawa shoguns enough to limit the contacts between Japan and Europe.

Explanation:

Tokugawa Ieyasu, who led the nation after Hideyoshi's death, initially tolerated Christian faith, but eventually abolished Christianity throughout the country, to reinforce the base for the family-led Tokugawa regime.

Finally, in 1614, he decided to ban Catholicism and, in the mid-17th century, requested that all Foreign missionaries be expelled and that all converts be executed. That signaled the end of accessible, Japanese Christianity. Tokugawa ruled nation for half a century and pressurized Christian Japanese to direct towards Buddhism.

Which type of forest has been most affected by human actions throughout history?
barxatty [35]

Answer:

Tropical rain forest has been most affected by human actions throughout history.

Explanation:

Human actions and inaction have had a devastating effect on the ecosystem. Human actions like deforestation, combustion of fossil fuels, bush burning, use of deadly fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides, etc, had all affected the ecosystem and led to increased depletion of the Ozone layers, thus leading to global warming. These human activities have affected water, food and energy production over the years. They have resulted in environmental degradation and reduced the soil quality. Of all the forests affected by the effect of these human action, the tropical rain forest, which is notable for abundance of rainfall, wildlife and vegetation appears to be the most affected by these human actions. Global warming has led to climate change, and has thus affected global rainfall.
