Many people leave their home towns and move to different cities to study, for work, for business or for better lifestyle. The first thing they need in the new city is a place to stay. Given that it’s not easy to buy a home to live in as soon as you move to a new city, especially in metros, most people tend to take a flat on rent. But before you take a property on rent, it is prudent to know the terms and conditions and execute a rent agreement.

A rent agreement ensures you have legal recourse later in case there is a problem between you and your landlord, which is why it’s important to be careful about the clauses included in the agreement. Here are a few must-have clauses for the rent agreement.

Reread the passage. Look for specific terms you can replace with general phrases.
Marizza181 [45]

The figurative language used in the passage above is a symbolism as well as a metaphor for the Law of Peace which now extended to all the nations of the Iroquois. One could say that it also symbolized the protection that peace affords under the Iroquois Constitution that has been extended to all members of the Iroquois Nations. See more explanation below.

Further explanation with regard to the above?

The Iroquois constitution was the outcome of the Confederacy of the Five Nations, which included the

 • Mohawk,
 • Onondaga,
 • Seneca,
 • Oneida, and
 • Cayuga Native American tribes.

It was one of the first systems of governance in North America. The Great Tree of Peace was one of their most important traditions.

The tree itself represented the five nations' understanding and maintenance of peace (On the words of The Covenant:

"The tree signifies law and the law is peace among all nations"). The branches, on the other hand, were viewed as the security that peace provided to all Confederacy members ("The branches of this tree signify shelter, giving each individual protection and security under the law. These branches are tended by those among the people who are men").

How does the author’s use of stanzas affect the meaning of “A Thousand Martyrs”? Use evidence from the poem to support your resp
IRINA_888 [86]
We are presented with a libertine speaker talking of many lovers. He suggests that, though he has spoken about the pain of love, it is only ‘Love’s pleasures’ that he cares about. As such, he has ‘betrayed’ ‘a thousand beauties’. He claims to have been a callous and deceiving lover, telling ‘the fair’ about the ‘wounds and smart’ they long to hear of, then ‘laughing’ and leaving. The poem is written in three elegant septets. Notice the iambic tetrameter and consider how important form might be to the theme of this particular kind of love and betrayal.

This speaker may not be entirely honest. The final stanza begins with ‘Alone’. Is there any sense of regret here? The speaker claims to be ‘Without the hell’ of love, yet in the same line we find reference to the ‘heaven of joy’. He may even also sacrificed his joy with his promiscuous love.
