Answer: Nationalism can influence the formation of a nation also because of the united desire to have a particular group under one rule.

Explanation:

  • The formation of a national entity as a product of nationalism may be the result of the sharing of similar ideals between members of one group such as language, culture, tradition, language and history. More intense national movements can be traced back to the French Revolution. After the revolution in France, a strong sense of belonging to a national entity is created. Songs are celebrated in the glory of the nation; even the French national anthem was created during this period. In this context, the French Revolution represents a turning point in history.
  • Following this event, many other European countries are striving for similar goals. In the united states of America, nationalism comes to the fore after the war for independence from Britain. So we saw nationalism attach to revolutionary movements. It is a process that began at the end of the eighteenth century, culminating in the nineteenth century when nations crystallized en masse. Over time, nationalism has evolved. So, because of the idea of nationalism, there was often a territorial or an effort for national expansion. Nationalism has usually caused the innocent to suffer, as it is not uncommon for governments of certain countries to claim territories of independent states because of ultra-nationalist aspirations.
