After the war there was a high demand for our goods by other countries. This gave a tremendous boost to our economy by creating more jobs and increasing the profits of producers.

The GI Bill of Rights was also enacted. This allowed returning veterans 1 yr of unemployment compensation, money for education and living expenses, low cost mortgages, and low interest business loans.
