These bones are the sacrum and coccyx

At the bottom of the sacrum there is a coccyx which is the base of the backbone. The coccyx is in charge of maintaining balance when a person is in a sitting position. The coccyx serves as a place for various ligaments, tendons, and pelvic muscles.

Further explanation

The sacrum in human anatomy is a large triangular bone at the base of the spine that is formed by joining sacral vertebrae. The sacrum is located at the top, behind the pelvic cavity, between two pelvic wings. This forms a joint with four other bones. The two projections on the side of the sacrum are called alae and articulate with ilium in the L-shaped sacroiliac joint. The upper part of the sacrum is connected with the last lumbar vertebra and the lower part with the coccyx through the sacral cornua and coccyx.

The sacrum has three different surfaces that are formed to accommodate the surrounding pelvic structure. Overall it's sunken. The base of the sacrum is the widest and most upper part, tilted forward as a sacred cape internally. The middle part curves outward towards the posterior, allowing greater space for the pelvic cavity.

The coccyx, also known as sulbi bone, is the very end of the spinal column in the tailless primate. Consisting of three to five separate or fused vertebrae beneath the sacrum, these bones are connected to the sacrum by fibrocartilaginous joints, sacroxigeal symphysis, which allows limited movement between the sacrum and the coccyx.
