That is why we can easily observe regional differences, sometimes dramatic ones, even if we are talking about humans of similar genetic make up.

The genetics though are what determines the physical appearance of a human. It also is the most influential factor for the IQ of a person, though it can be improved a little through proper practice throughout the life.
