Japan invaded British Malaysia and joined the axis and signed the tripartite pact with Germany and Italy leaving Japan at war with France and the U.K. Japan also bombed Pearl Harbour making the U.S declare war on Japan, Germany then declared war on the U.S, I am not sure why they did this even though they did not have to.
