Then work out 1%. Divide 120 by 100 because % means out of 100. You get 1.2.
Work out 2%. Times 1% (1.2) by 2 to get 2%. You get 2.4.
Work out 12%. Add 10% (12) of 120 and 2% of 120 (2.4) to get 14.4.
