The four major methods of analyzing characters are: by what the other characters say about the character <em>(in a dialogue or description</em>), by what the character says (<em>during a dialogue </em>), by what the author says about the character (<em>author describing step by step</em>) and by what the character does (<em>action perfomance</em>).
