Since ahmad baba points out that islamic law permits a muslim to raid and enslave non-muslims, do you think that the non-muslim mandinka (mandingoes) would have considered it justifiable to enslave Ayuba, since he was a muslim?

Since Muslims felt that enslaving non Muslim Mandinka was lawful, Mandinka could have well reasoned enslaving Ayuba, a Muslim, would have been just reciprocal and fair (what goes around, comes around).
