My best guess is 2) they have reason. It's my opinion that this is what makes most humans dangerous. That we THINK, and we aren't ruled by instinct. And if you think about it, it's only because we have reasoning and understanding that we have a gun to start with.
ATTITUDE is the proper noun because everyone has its own different attitude.
