Giotto di Bondone was the first artist during the middle ages to break the artistic tradition to use fresco technique in his works. He became the earliest painter to paint figures in a more realistic form than the Medieval and Byzantine era. He focused on representing human figures in a natural way with emotion, which led him called as the Father of Renaissance.
