The genetically modified organisms have some positives and some negatives, thus they have lot of supporters but also lot of critics.

Explanation:

The genetically modified organisms are organisms that have been genetically altered by using the genetic technology. The reason for such modification of the organisms by the humans has been in order to produce more food by creating stronger, more resilient, and more productive organisms, mostly plants. While this seem fine, it actually causes some problems as well.

The benefits of the genetically modified organisms are:

  • they can prosper in harsher conditions
  • produce higher quantities of food
  • are more resilient to diseases

The negatives of the genetically modified organisms are:

  • they out compete the native organisms
  • they cause several bad conditions among the consumers

The high production of food, which can be produced in harsher conditions, and is more resilient to diseases is great, as that means that in lot of areas around the world the problem with malnutrition can be solved partially or entirely. Unfortunately these organisms tend to cause some problems among the consumers. This has been manifested in significant lowering of the testosterone among the male population which often causes psychological problems. The female population tends to suffer from anxiety and depression, as well as hormonal problems. These are just few problems that have been confirmed, and there is the possibility of more.

What role does the water cycle play aquifers, groundwater, and watersheds |
goblinko [34]

Answer:

They store water in the ground. ... The Water RE-Cycle Water from Earth's surface evaporates into the air, condenses into clouds, and falls back to Earth again as precipitation (such as rain). Water can easily pick up that pollutant and carry it down into the groundwater or through the watershed to a lake or a river.

When water enters the watershed as rain or snow, it is called precipitation. Trees and plants use much of the precipitation and then release it back into the air as water vapor. ... This continuous movement of water from the air to a watershed and back to the air is called the water cycle.
