Answer:

The effect of repetition on these lines is to intensify the meaning of the sentence.

Explanation:

Repetition is a picture of language that is closely related to the syntactic construction of the text. For this reason, it is called a syntax picture. This language picture occurs by repeating terms at the beginning of sentences. It is a stylistic resource widely used by writers in the construction of verses in order to intensify an expression described in the sentence. An example of this can be seen in the excerpt shown in the question, where the lines "Some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door - Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;" intensify meaning, making the reader feel stronger during reading.

The local classic car auction raised $12,000 for local charities, the mayor is designating the funds to the children’s hospital.
yKpoI14uk [10]
I believe fused sentence would be the answer. Because “the mayor...” and “the local classic car auction...” could be two separate stand alone sentences but they were incorrectly fused together by a comma.

The main mixed allusion used in the poem is: D. The Egyptian Sphinx is the Beast from the Christian book of Revelation.

What is a Mixed Allusion?

An allusion is a casual reference to something. It becomes mixed when it is interchanged with something else.

In the Second Coming by Yeats Butler, we learn of an allusion to a certain Sphinx with a giant body that moves while the desert birds bove around it. This sphinx is the beast from Revelation that represents the second coming of Christ.
