The enzyme carbonic anhydrase is a protein that binds to two small molecules: water and carbon dioxide. By holding the two molec

ules in the proper position, the enzyme allows the two molecules to react to form a product, carbonic acid. The enzyme then releases the product and becomes available to catalyze the same reaction once again. How does carbonic anhydrase change the reaction between carbon dioxide and water?

What is the mystery element? is this a metal, nonmetal, or metalloid?
kiruha [24]

This is a metal!

I believe this is a metal because non-metal can be cut out instantly as this element shown has a metallic luster. Metalloids can be removed as they are worse at the conduction of electricty than metals, and all of the other properties listed are properties held by metals.

(Yes this is just my old answer but only because it is really the same reasoning)

Hope this helps, if not, comment below please!!!

Why does DNA determine a trait?
Aneli [31]

Answer:

Traits are determined by genes, and also they are determined by the interaction with the environment with genes. And remember that genes are the messages in our DNA that define individual characteristics. So the trait is the manifestation of the product of a gene that is coded for by the DNA.

How might an ecologist test whether a species is occupying its complete fundamental niche or only a portion of it? how might an
Sliva [168]

Ecologists are the persons who study the interrelationships between organisms and their environments. Like they research upon the species found in forests or deserts interact with each other and as well as their surroundings.

They test whether a species is occupying its complete fundamental niche or only a portion of it by observing if the species are expanding their range after the removal of a competitor because two species with the same fundamental niche will exclude other competing species.
