Actually, I believe it is a horn that can be found in both of these. I did some quick research and apparently “In jazz and popular-music contexts, the word [horn] may be used loosely to refer to any wind instrument, and a section of brass or woodwind instruments, or a mixture of the two.” Hope this helps.
