Based on your research, why did the colonists end up declaring their independence from Britain?

History

The colonists had become frustrated by Britain's levying of a series of taxes on them to get out of debt incurred during the French and Indian War. The colonists felt that taxation without representation was unfair. Things came to a head in Boston in 1773 when colonists dumped 340 chests of tea into Boston Harbor in protest of the Tea Act. In response, the British government passed the Intolerable Acts, which included the closing of Boston Harbor. At the First Continental Congress, held in 1774, the colonists united to oppose Britain. The British ordered troops to march on Concord in 1775 in search of an arsenal. The first shots of the war were fired on April 19, 1775.

Compare and contrast the experience of european immigrants in the east to that of asian immigrants in the west (the chinese excl
aleksley [76]
The European and Asian immigrant experiences were much different during the early 20th century. One of the most significant examples were the procedures they had to go through in order to gain access to America.

For example, many Europeans came through Ellis Island (located in NY). This resulted in rounds of questioning, a six second medical exam, a citizenship like test, and mental evaluations. For Asian immigrants, they came through Ellis Island (located in San Francisco). These immigrants were subject to humiliating physical exams, that sometimes took several hours and forced them to be without clothes in front of other individuals.

European immigrants, for the most part, had a much easier time entering the US. Asian immigrants were limited based on the Chinese Exclusion Act, which suspended the immigration of Chinese immigrants into America for roughly a decade.

In this first encounter with God on Sinai (Horeb), Moses learned all the following lessons except :
Firdavs [7]

What Moses did NOT learn at his first encounter with God at Horeb (Sinai):

 • that God would, by Moses, give Israel the Law there later.

Further details:

The account of Moses' first encounter with God is recorded in Exodus chapter 3. This happened during the years that Moses had fled from Egypt after he had killed an Egyptian overlord who had been beating a Hebrew slave (cf. Exodus 2:11-25). The account of Moses' encounter with God at Horeb begins this way (Exodus 3:1-3 NIV):

 • Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”

All of the listed items in your question were things that God revealed to Moses through his appearance at the burning bush -- except for the fact that later, on this same mountain, God would deliver the Torah (the Law) for his people Israel. After God used Moses' leadership to deliver the Hebrew people out of Egypt, as they journeyed up toward Canaan (the future land of Israel), they came to the mountain of Sinai and encamped there. The account of Moses' encounters with God again on that mountain, receiving the Law from God, is also recorded in the Book of Exodus, beginning at chapter 19.
