The correct option is A. “On the battlefield of energy we can win for our Nation a new confidence, and we can seize control again of our common destiny.” I took the test and got this right, so I can confirm that this is the best choice.

I hope this helps!

Answer:

A. “On the battlefield of energy we can win for our Nation a new confidence, and we can seize control again of our common destiny.”

Explanation:

Fallacious reasoning, or faulty reasoning, is the construction of an argument through the use of invalid premises. Arguments that are fallacious usually appear to be well-constructed and developed until they are examined more carefully.  In this case, Carter is committing a fallacy by linking energy independence with the spirit of war, and offering it as a solution for all the problems of the country.

Hey sorry I keep asking questions.. but does anyone know what sketch notes are? I'm very confused
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

Sketch notes–or graphic notes, or whatever term you like–are one of the single most important developments in note-taking history. Hold on, give me a second to explain. Exactly why they matter has something to do with the way our brains work, and the explosion of technology, and a little bit of viral success.

Why is it not fair to assume that, just because a person is good at one thing, they are good at everything?
asambeis [7]
Because you are then holding up an expectation of them to be good at everything. then they feel like they actually have to be good at it, because maybe they don’t wanna disappoint you or be embarrassed because they aren’t as good as you held them up to be.
after you have expected them to be good at everything, and they’ve failed, they probably feel like a failure, like they could have done better. you’d basically be signing them up for failure and embarrassment if you expected them to be good at everything after you realized they can do one thing good
