We first need to understand what the Oedipus myth is to determine which of the statements is a fact. According to the play, Oedipus was doomed to kill his father and marry his mother, Because of this, his father ordered him be killed. He meets Laius on the road, kills him, and then goes to Corinth, where he marries Laius' wife Jocasta.
