What it Abraham Lincoln had not been killed by John Wilkes Booth? How would
stira [4]

Answer:

If President Lincoln hadn't been assassinated, I believe that Reconstruction and the post-war era would have been more historically positive and ambitious. I think Lincoln would have achieved more things politically and socially for America, and would have done more to fight against many injustices in this country. Andrew Johnson did not have a positive presidency, says his impeachment. Lincoln had plans, but Andrew Johnson created policies and actions that went against the Republican Party and angered many, like his pardoning of Southerners. Lincoln would have continued to be a great figure for his party and I believe would have provided more as leadership than Johnson. If he was not assassinated, I believe that Lincoln would have continued his legacy and his fight for justice in America.

What was the main cause of the impeachment of president andrew johnson in 1869?
UNO [17]

The primary charge against Johnson was that he had violated the Tenure of Office Act, passed by Congress in March 1867 over Johnson's veto. Specifically, he had removed from office Edwin Stanton, the secretary of war, whom the act was largely designed to protect.

What happened to the Tenure of Office Act?

The Tenure of Office Act had been passed over Johnson's veto in 1867 and stated that a President could not dismiss appointed officials without the consent of Congress. Both Lincoln and Johnson had experienced problems with Stanton, an ally of the Radicals in Congress.

Which factor in the calculation of GDP would cause economic growth?
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

B. decrease in imports

Explanation:

The formula to calculate GDP is: GDP = C + G + I + X - M

In that, C stands for consumer spending, G stands for government spending, I stands for investment, X stands for exports and M stands for imports.

As indicated in the formula, consumer spending, government spending, investment and exports are directly proportional with GDP. So that when there is a decrease in these factors it would result in a decrease in GDP as well.

Oppositely, import is inversely proportional with GDP, thus a decrease in import will lead to the increase in GDP, causing the economic growth.
