Answer:

Explanation:

I have a story that my wife (an American) told me. She was horrified to learn that Bill Clinton sends a gift to Monica on important occasions. I was not. Bill is thumbing his nose at the conventions of society and perhaps he and Monica became good friends. I think, in recognizing her friendship, he is doing the right thing. Friendship is very rare. The politically correct thing to do was never see her again. My wife has a secondary point about this for which I have no answer, he is hurting both his daughter and wife.

FDR was married to Elinor. He could not have served as president for as long as he did without her help. And yet, he had other women pass through his personal life because they fulfilled what Elinor -- the mother of 5 of his children -- could not. It wasn't sexual either. It was just that he needed female companionship and compassion (which was not delivered in the form of pity.)

So to answer your question, the press in a way is at fault. If you want to destroy someone, the way to do it is with sex. Every adult understands sex and the taboos that go along with it. The press decided not to do anything about FDR (the right thing) and they decided to crucify Bill (the Politically correct thing). Surely there is more important news to report that doesn't involve intrusion into an ex-president's life.

My own feeling is you do the right thing. You will be admired for it. To practice the politically correct thing just avoids detection.

How did humanism foster the Scientific Revolution? A. Humanism promoted the study of classical works that stimulated exploration
Orlov [11]
Humanism is something that made people turn away from religion and towards “how can I make myself better as a person?”. It made people go to the scientifically and artistic ways of life instead of religion. Because of that the answer would be A. They turned away from current times to focus on the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome.

Korolek [52]

Answer:

Hello,

The Tonkin Gulf Resolution gave the president authority to take all necessary means to repel an armed attack against U.S. forces.

Explanation:

This happened during the United States involvement in the Vietnam war.The Tonkin Gulf was a station in Vietnam that was fired by forces of Northern Vietnamese. In response to this attack, the president of the United States by then, Lyndon B. Johnson, asked the congress to allow more military action to be deployed in the Indochina war.The congress discussed and allowed the president to employ measures of striking back if necessary and promote the maintenance of international peace and security in the region.
