When writing an academic paper it is necessary to listen to the voice of the writer addressing his or her audience. Catching the reader's attention is a challenge. In order to create interest, the voice should be affected by the choice of words, or diction, which can embellish language or use the rhetoric to make the text academic and appealling. The use of strong details creates fine settings and support of ideas and the precise use of vocabulary will provide control over the idea presented. In summary, the elements are the controlling idea, the choice of words, the use of strong details, the use of precise vocabulary to create meaning and the inclusion of clear transitions to make your writing smooth.

An example of how winning counts more than taking a stand?
Tanzania [10]

Hi there!

In English, many short stories contain a lesson of how taking a stand is what matters, and not winning. Usually the protagonist of the story takes the stand while the antago wins (this isn’t every story, but many). Here are a few examples that might make winning count more . . .

- You won’t get desired attention for making an accomplishment if you win compared to just “standing up for what is right.”

- One might have an overall different mindset of not caring about certain policies or rules

- The team doesn’t want to be let down

These are just a few examples that are very general and not based on a certain story, but could apply to some. If you need to apply this to a certain story or novel, take into consideration the theme and analysis of it, and think about what the character’s mindsets are. This process should also help you grasp on how the question can be answered.

I hope this helps!

vladimir2022 [97]
If you read it silently you might misinterpret somethings, or maybe think it’s saying something completely different because you can’t see or tell how the reader is reacting. Or the way they were trying to portray their message.

But if it is read to you (or you watch the video) you will be able to see and tell how it is portrayed and get a better understanding.
