The number of electors each state receives in the Electoral College is equal to the number of the members of Congress the state is entitled to. The exception is Washington DC which gets the same number of electors as the least populous state.

In favor--protection of the US government and entering into a stable and recognized government.
Against--takes away rights of the Texans, in particular the Mexicans still in the state. Forced Texas into a slavery debate rising up in the US.
Some Americans found Malcoms views and ideas alarming because they believed he was an extremist. He did not believe in peaceful protest as King did, he wasnt against but was for violence or “fighting back”.
