Thus, she is regarded as "a fallen monument" to those that are scared and anxious to face the government. She is known as a idol due to the fact that she is the only one remaining on the cause for black women equality. One of the themes of the story is to be different and strong enough to stand for something and she tried to do that. She wanted to be the last person that fought for the cause.
