The first wheels were not used to get around. Evidence says they were meant to be potter's wheels around 3500 B.C. in Mesopotamia. That was 300 years before they discovered that they could be used for chariots. The ancient Greeks invented western philosophy...and, the wheelbarrows!

The Dust Bowl made the economic impacts of the Great Depression worse and caused many farming families to migrate in search of employment and better living conditions.

The main destination of most people leaving the northern part of the Dust Bowl was Portland, Oregon. And they traveled through the states of Utah, Wyoming and Oregon.
