Answer:

D = 2,510 brackets

              H =  $1.60

              Co =  $20

              EOQ =    √2 x 2510 x  20/1.60

             EOQ = 250 units

Average inventory = EOQ/2

                                 = 250/2

                                = 125 units

Total Holding Cost = QH/2

                                = 250 x $1.60/2

                               = $200

No of order = Annual demand/EOQ

                    = 2,510/250

                   = 10 times

Annual  ordering cost = DCo/Q

                                      = 2,510 x $20/250

                                     = $200

Total annual cost = Annual ordering cost + annual holding cost

                              = $200 + $200

                             = $400

Time between orders = No of working days in a year/No of order

                                      = 250/10

                                      = 25 days

Explanation: Economic order quantity is a function of square root of 2 x annual demand x ordering cost per order divided by holding cost per item per annum. D denotes annual demand, Co is ordering cost per order and H represents holding cost per item per annum.

Average inventory is calculated as EOQ/2

Total annual holding cost is calculated as EOQ multiplied by holding cost per item per annum/2

No of order is the ratio of annual demand to EOQ

Annual ordering cost is calculated as annual demand multiplied by ordering cost per order divided by EOQ

Total annual cost is the aggregate of annual ordering cost and annual holding cost

Time between orders is the ratio of number of days in a year to number of order

A significant difference between a monopolistically competitive firm and a purely competitive firm is that the: Question 7 optio
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

3) former sells similar, although not identical, products.

Explanation:

In a monopolistic competition, there may be many sellers of a specific good, but in order for each firm to possess a monopolistic edge over the other, minute differences may exist between the similar goods. For example, geometrical sets are more or less the same, in terms of content. However, producer A may include a formula sheet, something which producer B may compensate with a timetable sheet. A consumer may wish to buy a geometrical set, but will have to choose between one from producer A or B since they all have different special features. Both producers A and B possess a monopoly of sorts over each other, due to the difference in features. This is called product differentiation. It may be physical, like the one above or perceived, where product A may seem better than product B, though entirely similar, due to A’s massive advertising. Purely competitive firm sells standard product like its competitors.

ABC and XYZ are identical firms in all respects except for their capital structures. ABC is all-equity financed with $530,000 in
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

The cost of equity for ABC is 11.74 percent and for XYZ it is 14.47 percent.

Explanation:

a. For ABC

ABC cost of equity = Earning before interest and tax (EBIT) / Equity = $62,222 / $530,000 = 0.1174, or 11.74%

b. For XYZ

Perpetual debt = $530,000 - $310,000 = $220,000

Interest on debt = $220,000 * 7.9% = $17,380

Earning after interest = $62,222 - $17,380 = $44,842

XYZ cost of equity = $44,842 / $310,000 = 0.1447, or 14.47%

Extrinsic motivation

 Extrinsic motivation is defined as behavior that is motivated by external factors outside an individual such as rewards, fame, attention or praise. Therefore, if Jack’s motivation for successfully completing a project is a salary raise and more, he is externally motivated. He is motivated to do well largely by the external factor, money, rather than intrinsic factors such as a sense of achievement and pride.
