Answer:

The correct answer is C. The Great Depression was a major reason why the United States changed more towards a mixed market economy.

Explanation:

The Great Depression was a worldwide economic downturn that began with the Stock Market Crash in 1929 and lasted through the 1930s. The central countries where the depression was unleashed were the United States and European countries, where cities, especially those that were built around heavy industry and building and construction, were hit hard. Farmers and the countryside were also affected, as agricultural commodity prices fell by up to 50%.

However, mining and forestry may have been the hardest-hit industries, when demand fell drastically and there were few other employment opportunities for those who had worked there.

The Great Depression had major political consequences. Democratic governments used new tools in economic and social policy to counter the crisis, as used by the Roosevelt administration, which carried out several Keynesian economic policies in the second half of the 1930s.

What was the main concern with excluding slave from American revolutionary was effort?
const2013 [10]

Answer:

The main concern with excluding slave from the American revolution was their agitation for freedom.

Explanation:

At the time of the American Revolution, slaves made up at least 25 percent of the population of North Carolina. In actual numbers, blacks totaled perhaps seventy thousand but no more than 5 percent of them were free. Most blacks, whether slave or free, lived in the countryside and worked the land, planting, harvesting, and preparing crops for market.

Those who lived in North Carolina’s few towns worked at trades or were servants to slaveholders. A few of them were “hired out” by their owners to work for others who needed their labor. All of their earnings, except perhaps for a small allowance, went to the slaves’ owners.

Skilled slaves worked as carpenters, coopers (making barrels), blacksmiths (making iron into tools and shoeing horses), wheelwrights (making and repairing wheels), and in many other skilled occupations. In coastal towns, such as Wilmington and New Bern, they worked in trades that were important to the shipping business. Also in these towns, they may have controlled parts of the local economy, for example, selling almost all the food staples, fish, and fowl (birds).

Just as whites were divided by the conflict between the colonies and England, so blacks faced difficult choices. African-Americans fought for both sides, providing manpower to both the British and the revolutionaries. Their actions during the war were often decided by what they believed would best help them throw off the shackles of slavery. Most believed that victory by the British would lead to the end of slavery.

Is there a difference between historical imperialism and modern economic imperialism and why
GalinKa [24]

Answer: Imperialism and colonialism are terms that are often used in many ways and perhaps for this same reason, often used interchangeably. These are concepts that can be difficult to define, but it is important to understand that they do not mean the same thing.

Imperialism is defined as the policy or tendency of a nation to extend its control over other states. It is exercised politically, socially and economically. The imperialist nations extend their control, power and their rules. They control the political and economic life of other nations. The concept of imperialism is much broader than that of colonialism. It can be exercised formally, informally, directly or indirectly. Informal imperialism can be achieved through various methods, such as; not allowing weaker states to achieve or maintain their independence or by reducing their sovereignty.

Colonialism can be defined as a product of imperialism and is commonly associated with the formal control exerted by a nation over a weak state (colony), from which resources are exploited; that is, a nation takes over a territory or State and the resources it possesses. Colonialism refers to the action of governing a territory. Unlike imperialism, it is about extending control more and more. When it is colonized, it is sought that the colony becomes dependent on who dominates it and the natives of said colony are subdued or displaced. Colonization is one of the ways in which imperialism operates. please mark me as brainiest
