Answer:

1. He always admired and respected his father, but in the camp he does not try to fight for his father when a Gypsy deportee knocks his father down.

Explanation:

Elie Wiesel's autobiographical memoir "Night" tells the experiences of the narrator and author Eliezer Weisel's life during the German discrimination of the Jews. This memoir also acts as a first person's account of the Holocaust and the affects it has on the people, especially the Jews.

Eliezer used to have huge respect and admiration for his father before the Jews of Sighet were captured and taken to the concentration camps. But once they were all taken to the camps, he began to have a sense of survival for his own life than thinking of his father's safety. he knows he have to be alive first to make sure his father also lives. This was the one thing that seemed to change in him, seeing the Gypsy deportee knock his father down but he did nothing to save him. He had to learn to keep himself alive.

What are similarities between "the golden cat" and "the cat and the moon".Please list at least 3
AysviL [449]

<em> </em><em>"The Golden Cat"</em> is a poem written by Oliver Herford and "<em>The Cat and the Moon</em>" was written by W. B. Yeats.

Some similarities between the two poems are:

  • The presence of cats in both poems.
  • In both poems, the use of personification is present. Personification is giving a thing human attributes. An example from the Golden Cat is: "<em>the brown Hay smiles back at him</em>". One from the Cat and the moon is: "<em>Maybe the moon may learn, tired of that courtly fashion, a new dance turn</em>".
  • The use of imagery is also present in both poems. Imagery is the use of figurative language to provide descriptions that appeal to human senses. One examples of this in The Golden Cat is: "<em>His face is one big golden smile</em>". This extract appeals to the visual sense. "<em>The pure cold light in the sky</em>" in the Cat and the Moon appels to the visual sense.
