"Grass" is actually a poem that was written by Carl Sandburg. This is a poem in which he has published right after the World War I which is in the year 1918. Based on this poem, you can sense an unforgiving tone in it. Therefore, I can say that the attitude that the author expresses is "anger". Hope this answer helps.

Which case of a pronoun is used as the subject of a sentence or a clause?
soldier1979 [14.2K]
Nominative pronouns are type of nouns used as the subject of a sentence or a clause. <span>A pronoun is used to substitute a noun. In order for it to substitute, it must have a clear antecedent. Personal pronouns are used to substitute nouns with ownership. There are three persons point of view.1st person is when the subject is the one who is speaking (e.g. I, me, my, mine, we, us, our, ours). 2nd person is when the subject is the one being spoken to (you, your, yours). 3rd person is when the subject is the one spoken about (he, him, his, she, her, hers, it, its, they, their, theirs).

The winter evening settles down
taurus [48]

Answer:

See below:

Explanation:

It asks for 3 examples of imagery about trash and pollution.

a lonely cab-horse steams and

stamps- I don't think this is one. A horse is not trash, even if it is lonely.

broken blinds and chimney-pots-This is one of them. "Broken" blinds indicate trash and overusage.

the winter evening settles down-No. This is talking about weather.

newspapers from vacant lots-I think this is one of them. The term "vacant" gives the hint that it is trash, since the newspaper is no longer in use.

and then the lighting of the lamps-I don't think so. This is giving general imagery about the setting. It has nothing to do with trash or pollution.

grimy scraps of withered leaves-I think this is one of them as well. The word usage here obviously states that these leaves are old, fallen off the tree, and trash.

I hope I could help!
