Why is it so important to avoid logical fallacies in our arguments?

English

It is important to do this because if we have logical fallacies in our arguments, our arguments are less likely to be true, and won't convince anyone to our side who can see our fallacies. If we have logical fallacies, instead of convincing others of truth, we try to pass off a lie, and lie to ourselves.

Understanding texts with difficult words can be made easier by a study of all EXCEPT _____.
hodyreva [135]
The answer is entomology (choice B). Root words tell you the simplest word to find the meaning of, affixes are the additions to the root word that have a few typical meanings that allow you to adjust your definition. Etymology is about the origin of words, whether it is related to a place, or a person, or in a foreign language. However, entomology is the study of insects and does not help one understand word meanings.
