Photosynthesis. Plants use the carbon dioxide that we breathe out and mix it with water to create nutrients that they need to survive. A byproduct of this is oxygen.

Photosynthesis and chemosynthesis are both processes by which organisms produce food; photosynthesis is powered by sunlight while chemosynthesis runs on chemical energy. ... Ecosystems depend upon the ability of some organisms to convert inorganic compounds into food that other organisms can then exploit (or eat!).

What is the main type of tectonic plate boundary that exists along the edge of the north american plate near the coast of northe
Kitty [74]

Answer:

To the east, the North American plate shares the Mid-Atlantic Ridge with the Eurasian plate. This divergent margin, offset throughout by transform faults, began spreading approximately 180 Ma ago, opening the North Atlantic Ocean. Evidence of Mesozoic juvenile crust formation in New England can be correlated with the event.

Explanation:

The San Andreas transform boundary between the Pacific and North American plate originates from the shallow, oblique subduction by the North American plate of the Monterey microplate

The Monterey-Pacific ridge stopped spreading and Monterey accreted to the Pacific plate. As a result, the Pacific plate’s motion with respect to the North American rotated, transforming a network of shallow faults into dextral transform faults

How are spring and neap tides different from regular tides? Check all that apply.
Svet_ta [14]

Answer: They are extra-high tides and extra-low tides.

Explanation:

Tides are periodic movements of the great masses of water on our planet as part of the gravitational attraction exerted by the moon and the sun on Earth.

In this sense, there are two very special cases: The Spring and Neap tides.

Spring tides

Occur when there is a full moon or new moon, which makes the tides higher. During these lunar phases, the Moon, the Earth and the Sun are aligned and the gravitational attraction power is greater.

Neap tides

Occur when the moon, the earth and the sun form a right angle (90\º), being the gravity attraction on the masses of water the minimum. This happens in the crescent and wanning phases.
