Antigone is the daughter of Oedipus who is as stubborn and decisive as her father. She in fact planned to defy Creon's directives and bury Polynices. The similarity with her father seemingly ended there as unlike her father she has the remarkable ability to recall events that happened in the past. Oedipus forgot all the good things the priest Tiresias did for him and went ahead to defy him, he also seemingly forgot about his encounter with Laius at the three-way crossroads.
