Option C

The difference of (14m + 4) - (7m - 1) is 7m + 5

Solution:

Given that the expression is (14m + 4) - (7m -1)

We need to evaluate the expression and find the difference

The expression can be evaluated according to BODMAS

BODMAS represents the sequence of operations - Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction.

⇒ (14m + 4) - (7m -1)

According to BODMAS, Brackets has to evaluated first.

⇒14m + 4 - 7m + 1

Now adding the like terms we get,

⇒ 7m + 5

Hence the difference of given expression is 7m + 5 Hence Option C is correct

Write an equation in point slope form for the line with a slope of 3 passes through (1,2)
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

y-2=3(x-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

The point-slope form of a line is given as:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Where

m is the slope

x_1 is the x-coordinate of the point given (passing through the line)

y_1 is the y-coordinate of the point given (passing through the line)

Now,

Given,

Slope = m = 3

x_1 = 1

y_1 = 2

Now, we simply plug these into the formula for point-slope form of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\y-2=3(x-1)

This is the point-slope form.

A department store offers free samples of a 2-ounce
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

The situation you are describing can be written as y=2x, or in this case t=2f, for every fragrance purchased there are 2 ounces of lotion that are given. Since the ounces of fragrance are not shown in this question, we can only make the graph on the ounces of lotion for every fragarance purchased. The points of the graph represent that for every fragrance bought, there is twice the amount of that in ounces of lotion. In summary, the rule is t=2f where t would equal purchases of fragrance and f would equal the ounces of lotion.

(If there is any more you would like to add to the question I can answer that.)
