short story, “An Episode of War,” we encounter a lieutenant whose name is never

Right before he sails for war, King Henry discovers a plot to assassinate him, and when the 3 traitors that were working for the French begged Henry for mercy, he killed them anyway. The battle of Agincourt is also in the play, where the English were outnumbered 5 to 1. The morning before battle, he gives a passionate speech to his soldiers and they end up winning the battle and the French surrender. Peace negotiations are eventually figured out and he marries the daughter of the French king.
