Answer: Right to life, liberty and security of person and no one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and that slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms. The Universal Declaration begins by recognising that ‘the inherent dignity of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world’.  It declares that human rights are universal, to be enjoyed by all people, no matter who they are or where they live.  The Universal Declaration includes civil and political rights, like the right to life, liberty, free speech and privacy. It also includes economic, social and cultural rights, like the right to social security, health and education. All the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. No distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

ANSWER: CIVIL, POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, AND CULTURAL RIGHTS.

EXPLANATION: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was established after the Second World War and represent the first universal expression to which all human beings are inherently entitled.

However, the Universal Declaration includes civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights. Moreover, the civil and political right lay emphasis on the right to life, liberty, freedom of speech, and privacy.

Then, the economic, social, and cultural rights, established rigidity on the right to social security, basic health and education, without distinguishing between race, color, sex, nation and among others.

Hence, these rights are template to the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.

Which perspective studies how behavior and cognitive processes vary among cultures?
WINSTONCH [101]

The sociocultural perspective studies how behavior and cognitive processes vary among cultures.

The Sociocultural perspective is a theory in disciplines like psychology and education.

It emphasizes how the cognitive makeup and behaviors of individuals are determined by their social and cultural environment. These include one’s family upbringing and socialization process, the values of one’s community, the prevailing social events, and cultural practices that the community observes.

This influence pervades all areas of life, from modes of communicating, to  one’s understanding, to handling emotions, value-systems, and even physiological attributes.

This insight can be greatly helpful in various settings. For example, a teacher can use her understanding of the socio-cultural background of her students to provide customized lessons and guidance to a child who is struggling to cope with the prevailing pedagogic system.
