What are some ways that South Africa is still segregated today?
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

I found this in the search web.

Explanation:

For decades, South Africa was under apartheid: A series of laws divided people by race. Then, in the 1990s, those laws were dismantled. But many of the barriers they created continue to divide South Africans by skin color — determining their quality of life, access to jobs, and wealth.

How did the great depression challenge democratic rule?
Rashid [163]

The Great Depression that occurred after World War I had far-reaching political implications in the United States and abroad. The war had disrupted agriculture and manufacturing to an extent that countries were hard pressed to recover.

In many respects, the Depression marked a significant political change in the United States. It marked a shift to an interventionist federal government.

What did the Massachusetts government act of 1774 change the way Massachusetts was governed
Bingel [31]

The minutes had different consequences. The Massachusetts Governing Act undid representative government and also decreed that political posts in colonial government were elected by Great Britain. The Justice Administration Act authorized the Governor of Massachusetts the right to transfer any judgment to Great Britain and authorized coercive actions to give witnesses to the case. The Boston Harbor Act closed the Port of Boston until it was paid for damages for the Tea Party in Boston, although it was never done. The Law of the quartering declared that the British troops not only had to lodge in commercial and empty buildings, but also in private houses.

The Intolerable Acts were also a determining factor for the convening of the First Continental Congress and the Declaration of Rights and Complaints. The Continental Congress rejected the Intolerable Acts when creating the Continental Association. The aim was to boycott British goods and if that failed to force Parliament to remove the tax records, then it would stop exporting to Britain.

On April 19, 1775, the tension increased that caused the Battle of Lexington, reaching the American Revolutionary War.

What impact did these acts likely have on the ways colonies did business?
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

If you are talking about the Stamp Acts then the legislation levied a direct tax on all materials printed for commercial and legal use in the colonies, from newspapers and pamphlets to playing cards and dice. Though the Stamp Act employed a strategy that was a common fundraising vehicle in England, it stirred a storm of protest in the colonies.
